1. I am a hot yoga junkie. I love being able to stretch my body to its limit and get a great sweat from a yoga class. However, my skin pays the toll. Yes, the heat is great for releasing toxins and impurities from your skin, but for some with sensitive skin, it can leave your skin red and splotchy (me me me me!) This article has some great tips on battling the red cheek syndrome during your next hot yoga class.

2. I use an app called FLIPBOARD which curates news articles in genres that I am interested in. It is a really cool app and an easy way to digest the news you want to see from all over the world. This article popped up this week and I had to share because I know there is something we can do to empower young girls to love themselves and get away from the perfect images we expect to see on social media. I myself edit all of my photos to get the perfect “instagram picture”. Hardly ever do I look at the photo and say- the original is better. Lets work on showing the real side of our lives, unedited and unfiltered. For some this is easier said than done (me included) but it takes baby steps to change our culture!

3. Product of the Week: Thieves. Lot’s and Lot’s of thieves around our house lately with all the flu germs. These products from Young Living is by far my favorite line. There is an essential oil to diffuse, all purpose household cleaner, hand soap, detergent, hand sanitizer, and wipes. I love that I can safely clean my house while I carry baby H on my back. Im not worried about toxins in the air.

4. Did someone in your life gift you flowers yesterday for valentines day? Try these tricks to make your flowers last longer. I always dip them in hot water but the white vinegar and sugar lime soda trick is new to me!

5. In honor of valentines this past Thursday- I give you the top 55 Rom Com’s (at least Marie Claire’s version). Can we agree? When Harry Met Sally comes in first and 50 First Dates comes in 55th place. My personal top 5 would have to be Pretty Woman, My Best Friends Wedding, Runaway Bride, Dirty Dancing, and 27 Dresses. Now to figure out which one I will force Anthony to watch tonight?! What would your pick be?
